Hi everybody, it has been a while since I have updated the website, so sorry about that NO EXCUSES!.
There were some events, travels etc. that I did not post like my great time in New Orleans with my daughter, musical lady friends and some amazing musicians. We did 3 fantastic concerts in some wonderful venues, I will be adding some photos from that trip in my GALLERY page soon. So the website is now up to date and I have some NEWS to share with you all.
I just got back from Jazz Camp, I had a fabulous week. I was surrounded by trees, nature, music,
inspiring performances and amazing students. So much love goes around in that Camp.
CONGRATULATIONS! go to the two extraordinary organizers Madeline Eastman and Stacey Hoffman.
Great job!. If you have never been to Jazz Camp, TRY IT! It is good medicine.
I have added some new photos, some I have just taken this year under the "PHOTOGRAPHY" folder in the "GALLERY" page, I also added more interesting and very personal photos under the "OTHERS" folder. I invite you to check them out, sorry they are not in order, nor there is a gallery where you can choose which photos you want to see. But I find the slide show to be refreshing and inspiring one way or another. I am thrilled that I can share my passion for photography and some personal moments with you. Enjoy!.
I have been writing away and creating a new blog I am very excited about. I have felt the need to share with you some of my experiences especially the amazing voyage I embarked on this past year. It will be quite personal and revealing but I am hoping it will be also interesting to read. The plan is for this to be a project that will keep on growing with time. Once it is ready to be published I will let everyone know, including my friends in Facebook and the folks in my email list.

I am thrilled to announce a new class which starts this coming Monday at La Pena in Berkeley. I taught, quite successfully this same class at The Jazz School for about 6 years. It was called "MODERN APPROACH TO LATIN STANDARDS" and that is exactly what it was, focusing on the singers this course unique to the Bay Area brought the students music from all over Latin America from folk to pop, old and new, with a twist, modernizing the classics and fusing the rhythms into a savory melting pot of rhythms and melodies.
With a new title and at a new venue, this class is now taught by two teachers, I will be joined by the great bassist from Peru, David Pinto, music director and arranger as well as bass player for Susana Baca. It is indeed a fabulous opportunity for those who appreciate Latin music. The class has become an "ensemble class" for both singers and all instruments.
This first period is full! but it is an on going class and the next course will start Monday, April 14th.
Anyone interested can contact me at: email@example.com.
